The Analog Simulator is designed for technicians needing to simulate 4-20mA and 0-10VDC analog instrument signals. These are the most common analog signals used in the industrial automation and process instrumentation industries. This eliminates the need for an expensive loop calibrator such as a Fluke 707 when high accuracy is not required.
The full range is 0 to 22mA and -10VDC to +10VDC. This makes it an essential tool for technicians in industries including industrial automation, automotive, HVAC, oil and gas, and waste water providing an inexpensive way to simulate signals such as temperature, pressure tank levels, liquid and gas flow frequency transducer, drive command speed transmitter, etc.
The Analog signal generator can simulate most popular analog signals including:
- 4-20mA current loop and 0-22mA current loop 2 wire loop powered instrument
- 4-20mA current source and 0-22mA current source 3 and 4 wire analog transmitter
- Voltage Source 0-10VDC, -10 to +10V, 0-5V, 2-5V, -5 to +5V
Two selectable resolution modes make it a versatile tool for various applications. Coarse Mode simulation provides 1mA or 1V steps that allows fast signal change using the up and down buttons as well as output signal calibration to increase output accuracy. In Fine Resolution Mode, resolution is 0.1mA and 0.1V which allows more
precise settings using manual (buttons) and automatic (cycles).
Using sweep, step, and custom profile cycles allows users to automatically index through analog values to simulate an analog process so you are free to troubleshoot your system.
Easy to navigate display allows user to see current or voltage as well as well as scaled engineering values making it easier to simulate the actual process.
The signal generator comes with carrying case and alligator test leads.
The Loop Simulator Professional requires two AA batteries (not included). These are used to simulate both the 0-10 DC volt and 4-20 mA output signals without the need for a 24VDC power supply.
